.... although I suppose it's small and nippy so the tactic is to keep out of trouble for as long as possible. And being front wheel drive it can still carry on after getting the rear end smashed up. I used to go and watch bomber derbies in the late 1970s - very few folk used Minis in these "last man still moving" events, but BMC 1100s were popular because they could just about keep crawling on even if the back had been totally demolished (like Bond's Renault 11 in A View to a Kill). |
