I've got a book picture from a 1950s Hindustan advert with the opposite permutation of a split screen saloon with the 1955+ grille - also seen here. And this forum thread suggests Indian sequence was same as UK with Type 1 splitscreen/early grille, Type 2 splitscreen/later ("Tiger") grille, Type 3 single screen/later grille (and bigger rear window etc). So maybe this one's been tweaked with newer screen??
