With round head-light, it's a Serie 1 = 1966-68 in Europe, but I don't know about USA |

First series of Renault 10 in the US (summer 1966) was very close to the European model, just with the double bumper and extra indicators, and the original indicators changed into white sidelamps - about 20,000 were sold. Since model year 1968 these lights are amber, like on this one shown here, and there were small lights on the front and rear sides; a different carburettor was use and some other minor differences with the European models can be found - circa 12,000 of this version were sold. Then in 1969 came the model with square headlights, like the French cars - but only some 2,250 could be sold... (info from the French classic car magazine "Gazoline" #95, novembre 2003). PS. I couldn't find the name "10 Major", just "Renault 10" for the US version. |

Aaaargghh! There's a few centimeters of Renault 16 seen in the left corner. I was shouting 'move the camera to the left' but nothing helped ![]() ep 3.19 ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-03-23 00:20:52 |

That would have been a good one... What as the Cameraman thinking!? |

First US-R16 on the site! Maybe we should allow this one to have it's own page ? |

Oh first one? hmm indeed, not much of it is seen though, and it would appear with normal Renaults ![]() |

I did think about including it. Sixcyl would have approved ![]() That is the problem. It would get lost somewhere in the Renault pages. If one could search specifically US-spec Renault's it would be better. |

For what is visible it is not worth listing anyway, and unfortunately. |

One can: Search for Renault 16 (as list) then it's quite easy to see any R16 with more than just the French flag... But I agree, almost nothing is visible ![]() |
