Pretty impressive for a 16-year-old car. Interestingly, it already had 249,000 miles by the time the show had ended, even though it was never driven. I'm talking trailer park desert towns with terrible roads and chain link fences. This car was brought to California in 1992 (that's when the "2Z" series of passenger plates was issued) and went on to star in one of the biggest shows on TV. Then it wound up as far from the spotlight as possible before dying an unceremonious death. I doubt its owner even knew it had been on Seinfeld, only a couple of feet from the main cast. Baube ◊ 2024-12-16 08:13	i'm not surprised .. someone i knew had access to a 1989 one with about 130,000 miles on it back in 1994-1995 and that thing ran like a Swiss watch , if it wasn't for the RPM gauge you wouldn't even knew the engine was running

It trembles and shivers at idle, and it doesn't have a lot of power (though it never really did). But mostly I'm just impressed that the one on Seinfeld managed to look brand new despite having 249,000 miles.

Then, my cousin told me to have a look at the odometer : close to 230,000 miles .
