Assuming no bodywork modifications, Turbo-style front bumper without the Turbo rear fender vent on a 996 should be a 2002+ Carrera 4S. C4S Cabrio debuted for 2004 (at least, according to https://www.netcarshow.com/porsche/2004-911_carrera_4s_cabriolet/ )
