Funny thing is it's a c-10 done up to look like a 4wd truck haha. |

This is a 1973-1979 grille design. |

Actually its a 1973/78, the 79 had a single headlight bezel that surrounded the headlight and turn signal as a unit |

When the truck is flipped over, you will see the engine, transmission, driveshaft, fuel tank and exhaust have been removed and only the rear axle and front suspention remain. -- Last edit: 2012-03-28 03:27:56 |

They probabaly removed the motor and all of the bulky parts to make the truck lighter or as a safety precaution. |

You maybe right nubby, but thats kind of a stupid thing to do, that's what you call a mistake. -- Last edit: 2012-03-28 03:26:28 |

you know, this style of the C-series had appeared everywhere black with foglights and front guards /vehicle_1148-Chevrolet-C-20-1977.html /vehicle_59874-Chevrolet-C-20-1979.html /vehicle_5403-Chevrolet-C-10-1973.html |

The novel by Frakes listed that Sarah and Reese were in a Bronco. I can think of several short bed pickups that could have easily worked in this scene, a late 70's F-150, or a Dodge (like the little red truck) for example. This C series Chevy though, nice rig, too bad it got trashed. |

It’s certainly a Fleetside, no mistaking that. The trim seems not to be the base model but the next step up, say Scottsdale’ish. However, its hard to say for sure as the truck is highly customized. Appeared to have the hidden radio antenna. The concealed radio antenna was imbedded into the windshield glass instead of using a unsightly fender mounted fixed mast radio antenna. A nice run with it, being driven aggressively by Kyle Reese (Michael Biehn) and Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). |

This one kinda reminds me of my best friend's 76 C-10 although his is highly modified (we pulled the 350 and installed a 454 stroked to 496, 9" Ford rear end, etc. etc.) |

Although I don't much like highly (visually) modified vehicles, I do like the simplicity of the all-black look. Also note the 1980 grille on your friend's truck. |

Indeed he liked the look of the 80 grille better than his stock one so we changed it out. |
