With a 2-piece windshield, this is a 1947-53 Advance-Design pickup. A 1947-50 model to be more precise, as it doesn't have the 1951+ vent window. And for sure without the Stepside option, as this one appeared in 1958 only ![]() The 2nd vertical reinforcement bar just before the rear wheel arch makes it a ¾-ton / 3600 model. So as pickup, it has the 3604 Chevrolet internal code. But the 4-digit names (3100 to 6700) were only given from 1949 onwards. 1947-48 models were just identified as Thriftmaster (3100 to 3800) and Loadmaster (4100+). So with a 1947 (standard) model year, this one shouldn't be called anything else than a Thriftmaster. ⇒ 1947 Chevrolet Advance-Design Thriftmaster [3604] -- Last edit: 2014-12-28 00:33:48 |

Thriftmaster or Thriftmaster? Complement or part of the name? Is there a consensus among admins? -- Last edit: 2014-12-28 00:17:53 |
