Countach replica (kit car). Notice the non-OEM rims, wrong type side rear view mirrors, and the passenger door does not line up. |

I just had a look at these pictures and the movie. To me this certainly seems an original Countach LP400, with LP400 S fenders and front bumper added later. The aftermarket wheels just make it look like a kit car. It has the distinctive and correct 'Periscopica' roof, mirrors and badging. There are no shots of the interior but it seems original too. I wonder what happened to this car. Perhaps it is 1120058, black car in the US with similar modifications; interior is different but could have been changed. Anyway, I am listing it as a 1974 LP400, first year of production. |

It looks even newer. 1981 or 82 model. |

What year did Countaches get windscreen wipers?? ![]() Standard Catalog says first officially certified US Countaches were 76, but only briefly and there was a gap from 77 to 82 without any. But some grey market examples made their way across during the gap. |
