The Merak was introduced for 1973, but the early models didn't have the air intake on the bonnet. As far as I know this came with the Merak SS in March 1975. The one shown here seems to have a black bumper, like the Merak 2000 (1977-1983), specially for the Italian market. |

This is not a 2000, which was only available in metallic light blue or gold. They also had a black tape strip running under the side body line and no front spoiler. While they did have the black bumpers (as ^) these were also fitted to other Meraks at about the same time (1976-ish) and this is an SS (vent across bonnet, front spoiler). |
