I think it looks beautiful, and it is rather a subdued colour for a 1950s American car too. |

This nice Dodge is a 1956 , but a Kingsway D-49 on the 115 inches wheelbase .As the De Soto Diplomat 1956 elsewhere on this site , it is a Plymouth based export model and has the small Plymouth rear fins from 1956 .Coronets of 1956 had different side moldings , somewhat larger backwards sloping fins and were mostly two toned . Otherwise , the front end styling is similar on both cars. As stated above , the dark blue colour plus the white sidewall tires and white steering wheel suit this model beatifully." The yellow headlamps as compulsary on french cars are clearly visible here ."My Uncle Mr. Hulot " is really a gold mine for the car enthusiast ! |
