 Vee grille and recessed headlights suggest 1937 Ford V8-78 estate car, (thanks to Sedgwick and Gillies, A-Z of cars of the 1930s) UK build Jan 1937 to June '38. 1937 West Bromwich County Borough registration and some modifications to roof suggest it wasn't ex Army.
