1970-1971 Torino Sportsroof Plain grille + protruding Ram Air Shaker hood scoop + Sportsroof body -> Suggest it could be a 1970-1971 Torino Cobra. Sportsroof body was also available as Torino/Torino GT/Torino 500, but those all had a fancier grille. The Ram Air Shaker hood scoop could be had on Torino GT and Cobra in 1970 with the 429 cubic inch Cobra Jet Ram-Air V-8. The 1971 brochure also lists it as an option with the 351. Cobras are rare (~10000 over two years); possibility it is a lesser Torino that has been made into a Cobra clone. |
