@buhin: not an easy question ![]() One plate-guy said, that it looks like the Indian system, but there should be a letter, where the "2" is. "AT" is not a regular combination of any federal state, as the orange colour is unknown, too. AS05 2-0688 would be Golaghat in Assam. |

The car is left hand drive and is driving on the right hand side of the road, so this cannot be in India. garco said on the series main page that season three takes place in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and China. Got it! Cambodian temporary plate. See the fourth plate on the second row on this page: http://plaque.free.fr/as/k/?path=./&page=4 |

Seems to have yellow headlights, could this be a French import? |
◊ 2010-07-04 11:05 |
Yes, it could belong to a Cambodian who has returned from living in France, or an employee of a French company posted to its Cambodian branch, etc. (Cambodia is a former French colony.) |

Made for France tag then? |

It is a 750i or iL, the grille leaves no doubt about it. |
◊ 2015-08-15 20:21 |
Actually no, because France adopted white headlights in 1993, a year before the E38 was launched. |

Not made for France but likely an import from Germany. Cambodia is one of the few Asian countries where German imports are actually somewhat popular IIRC. |
