The 'Willys Rural' is based on the Willys All Steel Wagon and got a new nose in 1960. Later Ford do Brazil took over the production and kept building the truck well into the 1980s, then named 'Ford Rural'. Still most people call them just 'Rural Willys'. |

With or without 'do Brasil'. I can remember a movie with a Simca do Brasil, but later that was changed in 'Simca' edit: ah, this one: /vehicle.php?id=104439 -- Last edit: 2007-07-30 07:42:27 |

Either just Willys Rural (BR flag is there to indicate that it is a Brazilian model) or Rural Willys like the others: /vehicles_make-Rural+Willys.html But I am not sure that it is correct, we should maybe also change these others... so do we rename these others to Willys Rural? -- Last edit: 2007-07-30 13:05:08 |

In 1967 'Ford do Brazil' acquired the 'Willys Overland do Brazil' factory and kept on building the then called 'Ford Rural', from 1976 on with a Ford engine. Today many of these vehicles are colloquially called 'Ford Rural Willys' or just 'Rural Willys'.![]() ![]() So 'Willys Rural' is okay and should be used for the others, too, unless we know it is from 1967 or younger. But I have to correct myself. 'Rural' was only used for the Station Wagon. The Pick-Up is called 'Willys Pick-Up Jeep': ![]() The Ford built vehicles were then called 'Ford Pick-Up F-75': ![]() ![]() |

Is that one is also considered as Pickup? /vehicle.php?id=23764 or is it a Station Wagon that was cut? |
