 Originally built as an export model with air conditioning, and first used abroad (outside United Kingdom), this Land Rover returned to the UK in 1998 showing about 30,000 miles. It was purchased from well-known salvage dealers Equifax in Wolverhampton about 1999 after it had been involved in an accident and become an insurance write off. It is still recorded as such on the V Car register.

The vehicle was then fully rebuilt on the original professionally repaired and shotblasted chassis with many new parts, including bushes and seals during 1999-2000 and then used by a business as a people carrier and towing vehicle until 2005 when it was purchased privately by a member of that company.

It was sold to a private owner in Northampton in August 2009.
