It's supposed to be in NY |

I think that this might be Kuala Lumpur International Airport - note the thick white pillars. Link to "commons.wikimedia.org" They might have flipped the image to make the cars appear LHD. -- Last edit: 2018-11-07 00:18:13 |

Is that Toyota Cressida? /vehicle_1178497-Toyota-Cressida-X70-1987.html |

Toyota Cressida [X80] |

Toyota Cressida MX83 (US SPEC) |

Rather unlikely as the film was filmed in Malaysia. |

NO. They aren't flipped. That Toyota Cressida is a US Spec version [MX83] that has been used as fake Hong Kong taxi filmed in Chicago, set as Hong Kong from 2014 movie Transformers: Age of Extinction. /v741137.html |

Yes it is. It's US Spec Toyota Cressida [MX83] used as NYC Taxi in this movie and 2014 movie Transformers: Age of Extinction used as fake Hong Kong taxi filmed in Chicago played as Hong Kong on that movie. |

If this scene was filmed in the USA, they would not use a Toyota Cressida as a New York taxi. |

Toyota Cressida [MX83] Made for USA. They repainted to yellow as NYC Taxi that came from Fake HK taxis from 2014 Transformers: Age of extinction. Some of Cressida HK Taxis are salvaged in junkyard and some of them are undamaged and can be used in another TV shows or movies. There are some Toyota Cressida's used as Fake Hong Kong taxi in 2014 Transformer: Age of Extinction but filmed in Chicago played as Hong Kong on that movie and Constantine TV series. /vehicle_741137-Toyota-Cressida-MX83-1989.html /vehicle_777202-Toyota-Cressida-MX83-1989.html |

Again, no-one filming in the USA would use a Cressida [MX83] as a New York taxi. Movie car rental companies in New York and Los Angeles have more authentic taxis complete with NYC taxi logos. Examples from the company that owns those Cressidas: http://ghostlightla.com/rental/inventory_details.php?id=772 http://ghostlightla.com/rental/inventory_details.php?id=759 Examples from New York: https://picturecarsltd.com/car/1334-toyota-camry/ https://picturecarsltd.com/car/1494-ford-transit-connect/ -- Last edit: 2018-12-18 20:18:54 |

Since the movie was filmed in Malaysia it is indeed more likely to be the Kuala Lumpur airport rather than somewhere in the US. Based on what? Just repeating it is not enough |

Pretty sure this isn't a USDM MX83 Cressida. First of all, this is definitely filmed at KLIA. Also, in the comment photos, posted by officialJAPINOY, the other car in the scene outside the shop does not have USDM sidemarker lights, so this is not filmed in the US. Finally, the taillights are slightly different - MX83 Cressida taillights have the white reversing lights in the top half of the tail light which is not seen here. Link to "www.thetruthaboutcars.com" This should be an S130 Crown, which was made in Japan and Indonesia. Note the bumper and exhaust pipe. I'm with @ryanchng on this one, it looks more like a facelifted S130 Crown to me than a Cressida. The rear tailights, exhaust pipe and general proportions seems off for a X80 Cressida. |
