The white sedan is actually a Ford Corsair. ....And how about a mention for the blue Citroen DS19? ![]() |

There are DS in all 60's/70's french movies ![]() |

thank's I'll correct...about the DS19, it is so obvious to find a DS19 in a french film of 1967 that it doesn't worth to place an only "1star" vehicle on the site...the same rule have been applied for the many Renault, peugeot, citroen, simca, mercedes and vw..etc...which appears just one time in the film...I made an exception and explained why (in French) about the Simca 1000 and the 1500, due to the fact there are hundreds of same cars in the scenes, and that was intentional from the cineast J.tati...so this provide a particular role for these Simca. |

Ok, I see your point about the DS19. ![]() |

I see your point in this matter, but would not like to follow your argumentation. We do have the one-star-bachground-vehicle classification. Why not use it? I would add every Ford Model T I spot in a film -- and there are ten times as many as DS. Look at all those Fords, Buicks and Chevrolets in US films. They are just hum-ho run-of-the-mill stuff, but still we add every single one of them. Citroen, Renault and Peugeot are common in French films, as are Opel, Volkswagen, BWM and Mercedes-Benz in German films or Austin, Rover and Jaguar in British ones -- but still I would like to see them all in IMCDb. Otherwise we only get the exotics. |

Of Course, it's a pity...but just a matter of place ...image the millions of cars to spot...?... |

Also because the few interesting info would be mixed with too much "background cars". Usually the 1-star cars on the site are those that are visible for a few time but that have no interaction, like a car visible in the background of a scene for few minutes. Or also a car that is rare enough. If you try to list all the cars of all movies, for some movies that occur in cities you will end up with nearly all of the cars of few makes in a range of 20 years. |
