Looks like an electric powered vehicle like the English milk delivery wagons. Didn't know they had used them in Oz. |

vehicle is Smiths/NCB Milk Float, 1948..particular one was part of a small contract for the Royal Australian Navy to carry on ships and use at ports..they were supplied by UK as open sided "milk floats" and converted by the Australian Navy at their own workshops in Australia, so the van was unique to the Australian Navy, as a production vehicle, only the open side milk float body and flatbed truck body was commercially available. |
