car nerd ◊ 2007-08-04 00:20	It is the the way the light is reflecting. The headlamps on this model were rectangular sealed beams. Toytota put flush headlamps on the Tercel circa 1990 (and then only on the more expensive models).

Our government relaxed the headlight standard on all cars around 1987 model year. Lincoln Continental Mark VII did introduced the composite headlight as early as 1984.
