jpts ◊ 2023-08-26 17:54	This scene was the reenactment of the death of Daimen Oliver's older brother and jockey, Jason Oliver who died at Royal Perth Hospital from injuries sustained in a fall on the night of the 29th October 2002. According to news reports, Jason Oliver was attending a race trial at Belmont Park Racecourse on the morning of the 28th October when the horse he was on broke both legs, throwing Jason off and falling on top of him, crushing him. A investigation in the accident revealed that the horse that Jason was on had been given Phenylbutazone shortly before the race trial, playing a contributing factor in the accident. The death of Jason Oliver was the second death to hit the Oliver Family as Damien and Jason's father and jockey, Raymond Oliver was killed after falling from his horse while competing in the Boulder Cup in Kalgoorlie, WA on the 30th August 1975. -- Last edit: 2023-08-26 18:56:23
