I think the side strip looks more like flat decal of "1.3 S" than rubber/silver plastic (3D) strip of HLS, HLE... |

Agree a mid-range spec, such as S. Black is unusual colour on early Metros, and the little pixie thought he remembered a black special editions, so I dug around. There was the 1983 VP500 based on the VdP , but it had MG-style pepperpot alloys and a logo on the rear wing above the side strip. What looks like a badge on ours lower down behind the door is probably something fixed to the railings. |
