the linked pic of the tailgate is 1995-1998 -- the upper area of the interior trim panel provides room for the flip up glass' latching mechanism. This option was only available on 1995 (rare) - 1998 models -- Last edit: 2009-06-23 05:06:37 |

MD license plates, false format. MD format is for trucks two numbers and a letter (excluding O), and then three numbers, or for cars, three letters and three numbers. For cars registered in 2005 or newer, it's a number then two letters (excluding O), and another letter (excluding O) and two numbers. For SUV's, it's one of these: six numbers and an M, an M and six numbers, three numbers, an M, and three numbers, or five numbers, an M, and one number. |

Since 2005, Maryland plates have had the website of the state government on the bottom of the tag. Since the movie takes place in February 2001, the plates don't have the website. Whether or not this is intentional is hard to tell, since it could just be that the prop plate manufacturer just neglected to put it on. So, it's period-correct, even if the numbering format is off. Indeed, SUVs in Maryland do start with the letter "M", since as early as the late 1990s, probably even earlier than that. |
