This is the last body SKV (= Svenska Karosseriverkstäderna) in Katrineholm made before being bought by Scania in 1968. The body shape was introduced in 1965. If there is no positive ID one has to pick and choose whether it is a Scania BF 76 or a CF 110, albeit the BF 76 seems to have been, by far, the most common of the two. That is according to Link to "www.svenskbusshistoria.se" . |

Maybe it helps to check "making of" pages. There are often remarks about the owners of the allocated vehicles. |

I'd say the page www.svenskbusshistoria.se is the most reliable page on Swedish buses, as they cover all there is to know about them. But I have no idea about how many of older buses that are covered. If there is a "breaking point" where all buses are listed or if it cover all of them (unlikely according to my point of view). I forgot to mention that before the take over by Scania, which at that point were called Scania-Vabis, SKV made bodies on all chassis that were brought to them. Which means that several Volvo's also got SKV bodies. However, the above bus is a Scania-Vabis because of the hub on the front wheel. Volvo had it furter outwards. And other manufacturers had different wheel manufacturers. |
