These Rovers were jointly-developed projects with Honda, and although much of their basic architecture was Honda-derived, there were substantial changes by Rover for UK production. For example, the main engine selection was the UK K-series family with no Honda input. Some of the technology was provided by Honda under a licensing arrangement, but design and development was UK responsibility and decisions. |
