In the absence of dsl, it’s a Super Minx, after the mid life face lift, say 1966+ iirc. |

Yes either 1965 S3 (usually has coloured side flash) or 1966 S4 (thin side strip as here, but 1725 shields on front wing. Super Minx was offered in US 1963-66 in full saloon, estate and convertible choice, but minimal sales likely. All red rear lights would be part of US spec. |

Wouldn't it be a Sunbeam in the US? -- Last edit: 2019-02-14 23:25:40 |

It has “Hillman” written on the boot lid. |

^^ Not according to That Bible we both use, which clearly splits the Hillman and Sunbeam offerings with no cross-over. But strange things happened with the 1966 Minx (as we explored here). It may be we need a brochure hunt to resolve - here's a 1965-as-Hillman example (again), which has the intriguing footnote to register the Minx change as an apparently separate issue. And a 1965-ish US/CDN Hillman Super Minx Station Wagon brochure - basically just the UK brochure with 1964 ARW 333B plates and some jiggling (LHD drawings, text). |
