It's a Mk3 (no sliders in door windows, boot snout), and with those wheel trims probably a Clubman or possibly 1000 Super. So "1968" plate is fake. |

So ordinary Mini (850, 1000) sold in F 1970-73 as Austin (as your comment here and other comments from eg rpcm on other pages) but not the Clubman??? Seems odd, but Leyland did funny things in the early 70s. And I don't think anyone's ever suggested that the 1275 GT was sold as Austin in F, so maybe normal Minis were Austin (and apparently Morris in F as well) for 3 years or so before becoming just Minis, but all Clubman types in F were just Mini from the start??? |
