1948 Riley RMD 2 1/2 litre, I think. The first thumb is something different, SS or MG? |

"Riley RMD ... was first displayed in October 1948 at London's Earls Court Motor Show.". And it's not an RMC (sleeker roadster with door cut-outs). So re-think needed, maybe unifying all pictures??? |

RMC only had one row of seats not two. Because its first motor show was in 1948, that is not proof that cars were not available before then. The saloons commenced in 1946, you cannot say that there were no dhcs before the show. The oldest record I have been able to find is of FCR 88, a Southampton registration from Nov 1947, but that is no proof that a car was given that plate as brand new. -- Last edit: 2019-04-01 20:03:12 |

Compare this with thumb 3. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1951-riley-rmd-drophead/ Position of lights, split windscreen, shape of A pillar, especially the little kick back where it would meet the hood. Thumb 1 is not the same car, neither is thumb 2, which may be the Armstrong Siddeley. -- Last edit: 2019-04-01 20:20:24 |

@johnfromstaffs is right - 1st and 2nd thumbs are really the pictures of the 4th car (2 stars) in the movie, driven by character played by Greta Gynt. The timing is 00:06:51 for the 2nd and 00:06 :59 for the 1st. I apologize for my mistake. |
