Although I was in England in 1948, I was not really in a position to tell a GAZ from anything else. In this case, however, I would like to suggest that the greater likelihood is that this is a 1936 Ford V8 station wagon, but I would not die in a ditch to prove my theory. Further thought: - the vehicle appears to be on the move, but there does not seem to be a driver in the left hand seat. Did they make right hand drive GAZ? They did Fords. -- Last edit: 2019-04-04 11:44:15 |

The picture was originally headed “GAZ unknown”. -- Last edit: 2019-04-04 15:35:16 |

This is a 1936 Ford V8 Model 68 Shooting Brake with a UK built body. Not factory built. Probably a post war utility built from an ex WD vehicle as many were. |
