There was a lawsuit in Germany about such a wedding decoration, placed with hand lotion on the faded original paintwork of a Mercedes 600. Afterwards the rests of it couldn't be wiped off, so the owner claimed, the originality is destroyed. I don't remember the verdict, but it was years ago, when classic cars with original patina weren't that rated as nowadays. btw.: in a buyer guide for Rolls-Royce Silver Shadows in my classic car magazine I read, that you should avoid white RR, because they often are used as wedding cars. The owners makes money, but didn't do the maintenance, because the car only has to go for short distances. |
