rprdds ◊ 2011-03-21 00:15	I think this is a 1935 Auburn 851 Phaeton (Convertable Sedan). It's my understanding that all 1935 Auburns are 851. 852 Auburns are the 1936 model and about the only change between the two years. If the car was supercharged, there would be a plate above the vents on the side of the engine cowl. I have a '35 Auburn, so I've done the research. On the other hand, there are no absolutes as the company neared its end in 1936.
Ld90731 ◊ 2020-12-27 20:39	rprdds is correct. 1935's are 851, 852 are 1936. If you look up pictures of the car most have the side grills but some are like the one in the movie with just plain painted like the one in the movie
