The main differences between 2000 and 2600 were different front and tail and the engine. The 2000 engine was an evolution from 1900 (iron block) whilst 2600 introduced an aluminium block. The 2000 has a shortened and insucessful career in Italy and the engine blocks were sent to Brazil where the car was produced by FNM from 1960 to 1968 (exactly as the 2000), then it was upgraded to 2150 with a flat hood and finally in 1974 it grew to 2300 with a totally new bodywork, resembling the Alfetta. Then a revolution set back to FNM 2000.
