Something like a Nissan Cabstar , a fake British bus. Wheels really let it down. A replica Tilling Stevens K5LA7 according to this Flickr post- https://www.flickr.com/photos/35604244@N02/28033743884/in/photostream/ -- Last edit: 2019-04-29 03:08:51 |

It seems ridiculous to call this thing a Tilling Stevens, when it is, in reality, a mock up on a chassis that is no nearer to a Tilling Stevens than Tokyo is to Maidstone. As this database is a document of record, surely there is danger that some person of no knowledge might think this is what the real thing looked like. |

I think its covered by the description 'Replica' and if I was a Tilling Stevens or old bus fan I would be interested to see it just as I find the Bedford A and Leyland FG replicas interesting as a Brit Truck Man , If they were all was described as 'Toyota Dynastar's'or whatever the chassis is I would never find them ! The actual bodywork is quite well done and if you saw this from the waist up it would be convincing in a crowd scene. https://www.flickr.com/photos/35604244@N02/28033743884/in/photostream/ -- Last edit: 2019-04-29 09:59:10 |

I think that you and I will have to agree to differ. Any description I could think up for this thing would commence with the word “shed”. http://www.old-bus-photos.co.uk/?p=9163 -- Last edit: 2019-04-29 12:07:57 |

Vive la difference ![]() But was their not a low bridge / wheelchair entry version of the Tilling Stevens KL5 ! Strange that they made such a mess of the wheels when theie replica Seddon was quite convincing. ![]() ![]() Seddon ![]() -- Last edit: 2019-04-29 21:35:11 |

Yes the ( real ) Chinese Motor Bus Company Tilling Stevens bodies are very similar , were they made in UK by same bodybuilder ? -- Last edit: 2019-04-30 10:15:27 |
