Ep.1.25 "Maigret et la grande perche" Hanomag ou Mercedes-Benz? |

This looks like Amsterdam, so Mercedes-Benz is more 'possible' I think. |

the Hanomag factories were taken over by Mercedes benz in the 1970s. So were the models, so the same cars were produced both as well as Hanomag AND as MB. Only difference were the labels and some exterior things, not major. Can´t say why, but this seems to be a Hanomag to me. |

It is Amsterdam: Keizersgracht nrs. 735-763, seen from the bridge next to the Amstel river. In Holland both Hanomag and Mercedes-Benz were seen rather often... |

Hanomag F35, I think. This episode is from the first series, which apparently predated the 1974 takeover by Daimler-Benz ... so, Mike and Garco, there can't have been too many Mercedes (305s, weren't they?) around then ... ![]() |

The Hanomag-Henschel versions were called F20-F35, according to load capacity (since 1967), the MB L206/206 D or 207/307, depending on the engine and load capacity (since 1970). Cf: http://www.tempo-dienst.de/neu/Geschichte/history/scheinwerfer2-75.htm |

For me, too. Perhaps, because it seems to have to hupcaps, which were a bit more common on the Hanomag, than on the Mercedes. And I think, this type of very low loading-platform was typical for Hanomag (like for Vidal & Sohn before, which had created this model) Otherwise: for the Mercedes 207 as successor of the Hanomag F 20/Mercedes 206, such a low platform was also available. -- Last edit: 2007-11-18 23:32:16 |
