Could it be a Springfield Rolls-Royce? Quite apart from the wandering (and unconvincing) British number-plate, the set and props have a distinctly back-lot look ... no British locomotive ever looked like that ![]() |

Rolls Royce Phantom II Pullman Limousine de Ville by Barker 1930. English build, Phantom II was not constructed in Springfield, but the LHD New Phantom chassis was still in stock in large numbers. Probably originally supplied to an English owner, but crossed the pond in the thirties. The bumpers are American, and installed to cope with U.S. traffic. The scenery is indeed mock-English. |
