That looks more like a Seat Cordoba grille with a VW logo stuck on. That would translate to a Chinese VW Citi Golf, but it's probably rather a Seat with a VW badge. |

Here's another one of these strange Polos: https://www.drive2.ru/r/volkswagen/polo/1631313/ The Polo Classic with Seat grille was also sold in Mexico as the Derby, since Russia got the Pointer, maybe this was their unique version of the Classic? EDIT: it seems this version was called Polo Classic S, and except for one car in Ethiopia, all results are from Russia (and one from the Ukraine) I ran a VIN on one (VSSZZZ6KZTR021534) but couldn't get any info. For everyone outside of Europe, this is what the Classic normally looks like: Link to "s.auto.drom.ru" -- Last edit: 2020-03-19 20:40:40 |

VW decoder lists it as a Seat Cordoba: Seat Ibiza/Cordoba/Cordoba Vario/Inca model year 1996, production number 021534 production plant Martorell (SP) The entered VIN cannot be checked for validity. The Polo Classic S should be the Chinese-built one for Russia, for what I've read ![]() |
