This is actually a FAP (licence made MB). The NG/SK code can stay - is better than nothing. -- Last edit: 2007-09-13 15:43:54 |

I remember seeing Mercedes clones on the FAP website and wondered if this might be one. http://www.fap.co.yu/fap/home%20eng.htm The Chinese are at it too. ![]() http://www.sinodefence.com/army/transport/nd2629a.asp http://www.sinodefence.com/army/transport/xc2030.asp http://www.sa-transport.co.za/trucks/firmaco_powerstar.html |

It's a FAP-2026 BS/AV (6x6). It's not a civilian edition, but a military edition. FAP company called this model in the English catalog edition a "Field Motor Vehicle". This model is produced from 1987 on. -- Last edit: 2008-03-05 17:44:35 |

I doubt that the UN bought any FAP trucks, since the Security Council had imposed trade sanctions on Yugoslavia because of its support for Serb forces in Croatia and Bosnia. -- Last edit: 2008-03-05 18:04:28 |

I just look in the catalog and it's written: On this model, "The lights are made according to Yugoslav standards (JUS) and satisfy the special requests of Yugoslav Army". The bumper and the exhaust system are completely different from civilian editions |
