Daniel Desario's car, I find it a little hard to believe that a supposedly two-year old car (series was set in 1980-81) would be in this rough of condition and the paint oxidized this much already. -- Last edit: 2007-09-16 16:04:37 |

This appears to actually be a relatively rare "Tenth Anniversary" 1979 Trans Am, that's been painted red and has the wrong decals. The rims and silver interior are hints, but the mirrored T-tops are the clincher. |

Just started watching the series again the other night. It's definitely a Tenth Anniversary car. Wonder if anyone knows where it is. |

Not only that, but also that Daniel could afford a brand-new Trans Am while being a very poor high school student. I love the series, but I'm not sure the production thought this car through. I would have picked an older Camaro or Firebird for him to tool around in (maybe a late '60s or early '70s one). I would. I'm not sure he's really a car guy in real life. Even if he had bought the car after the show was canceled all the way back in 2000, I think this car would have surfaced online in pictures at some point during the past 24 years. -- Last edit: 2024-07-14 10:18:58 |
