Oxford Series III, 1956-59. Not all Oxfords of this series had the chrome strips to divide the colours on the two tone cars. This car appears to have the chrome windscreen surround, which is why I don’t think it’s a Cowley 1500, but the picture ain’t good. -- Last edit: 2019-07-23 23:20:07 |

Plate looks like 176 Lx or Lxx, but can't find a picture match. Beige/grey with sun visor and door mirror looks same one as in Call The Midwife where plate is illegible (though looks different as if ABC 123 format). Neither sighting is grey-with-visor OJN 912 (Jan 58 Oxford) which has added indicators and wing mirrors - Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" , Link to "photos.smugmug.com" |

I had thought that this was Sage Green, if that’s any help. The lighter grey was called Birch Grey, the darker was Clarendon Grey, and the dark green was Empire Green. Never got involved with the beige. -- Last edit: 2019-07-27 12:12:23 |
