Its actually a real company (!) I didn’t know that, I thought it was a fake company made up for the show. -- Last edit: 2007-10-19 04:32:20 |

It is a made up company It's a "companion" website, but not a totally lame one like they usually tend to be |

Oh, so its like "Undercover" or "Viral" Marketing, the website is just used to promote the show? -- Last edit: 2007-10-19 04:29:07 |

If you check the "Buy More" links of that page (shop where the Nerd Herd team works), you get another realistic-looking page: http://www.buy-more.net/ But then all the links of that page lead to NBC It is a parody of Geek Squad, from Best Buy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geek_Squad http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:06-07_Volkswagen_Beetle_GeekSquad.jpg -- Last edit: 2007-10-19 11:31:12 |

How was it determined it was a 2006 model? I initially thought it was a 2007 or 2008 model but after doing some research I discovered that casting was completed in March 2007 and the Pilot Episode first aired on July 27, 2007 at SDCC, later followed by its television premiere on Sept. 24, 2007, which means they filmed and edited during April, May and/or June. |

when no visual difference we take the 1st possible model year |

Based on the research I've done, re-watching all of Season One (the only season where a Toyota Yaris was driven) and looking through countless pictures online comparing the layout of the dashboard, instrument panel (speedometer), CD deck, climate control knobs and the color scheme of the interior of the 2006, 2007 and 2008 models I am 99.9% sure that the Yaris is a 2007 model. |
