electra225 ◊ 2019-08-15 09:05	Called Comet and not Mercury Comet untill '62. I would prefer to call them Mercury Comet but here they are listed just as Comet for 1960 and 1961.
Commander 57 ◊ 2019-08-15 14:36	Yes, Ford listed the Comet as an entirely separate make at first in a similar manner as did the Chrysler Corp with the Valiant in 1960 and as Ford Motor Co. did earlier with the Continental, in 1956. Packard tried to do this with the Clipper for the 1956 Season but changed their mind during the model year and resumed registering them as Packards.
