Could it be 105 'R' or 'S' Judging by bonnet script? |

Not with those hub caps. The 105s IIRC had the flatter full-width wheel trims. |

I've not yet seen any '60' '75' or '80' P4's with bonnet script, which is why I'm still saying it's a 105 's' or 'r'. I believe 105's still had drum brakes all round, so early hubcaps would match this model. Any more thoughts on this one? I'm happy to be proven wrong, I'm just a bit more curious about this one. |

Simply in terms of characters in the bonnet script, I think it reads Rover 123 X with a definite suffix letter, and google pictures has loads of 105 with round hubcaps. As 105 was only P4 with suffix letter (I think), p5coupe seems correct. So Oct 56-Sept 58 105R or 105S, before name change to just 105 afterwards. Any disagreement or preference for R or S? |
