A priori, c'est le même modèle que la 45. |

The number 18 here is an OSCA MT4 Barchetta of ca 1955/56. OSCA ( Officine Specializate Construzioni Automobili) was founded by the three Maserati brothers and produced sports and racing machines from 1947 to 1967.The car here was probably powered by the brilliant twin overhead camshaft of 1500 cc developing 115 hp and up to 132 hp in competition versions. The OSCA's were extremely successfull in the Mille Miglias and several of these expensive cars were raced in the United States amongst others by Briggs Cunningham. |

And is the number 45 of the other picture above the same model? |

It is also an Osca MT4 Barchetta of the period but may differ in small details from the number "18" here.Details were often modified by the pilots or racing teams .For example on the number "18" a grille guard has been added. One cannot see if the number"18" has a pilot headrest or not , the number"45" has not.Mechanically these cars must be identical since the Sports Car Club of America rules were very strict on standards for the different class races. |
