Supposed to be the same car, but the tail lights and the lack of side stripes says otherwise: /vehicle_1302843-Plymouth-Duster-1970.html |

I'm thinking of South African version of Valiant Charger as described at https://www.allpar.com/world/south-africa.html ![]() |

That's interesting, and something completely new to me ![]() But I can't seem to find a ZA-built Valiant that would have Duster's tail lights (unless they had been changed by the owner, somehow): This is one of the few adds that I've found on the internet which does have such tail lights as mentioned: (the link itself is dead, except for a couple of pictures): ![]() ![]() All other Valiant Charger's seem to have typical vertically styled tail lights from a Demon, as opposed to horizontally styled ones from a Plymouth Duster ![]() And I don't see any stripes on that second car, so are we sure this is the same car? Though, I agree, this should be renamed to 1970-75 Chrysler Valiant Charger (origin: Aus; built in South Africa; made for ZA), as this is more probable, but I'm not sure that second car with the tail lights from a Duster and no side stripes is really the same car ![]() -- Last edit: 2019-10-01 12:30:29 |
