 An absolute masterpiece!! It has instantly become one of my favourite movies and I never get tired of watching it!!

According to producer Gregg Bello, they only had two Vic's: one for exterior and one for interior shots. The film was entirely filmed in Buffalo, NY, doubling as LA at Night.

That's true.
During the interior shots you can see blue and red lights flashing to the front, but it's clear to be seen that the car used for exterior shots had the Whelen Liberty only with red lights in the front. They also forgot to reprogram the lighbar for California rules, where there should be a steady red light in the front.

 The car used for exterior shots is more specifically a 2009 or 2010 model based on the side door trim and headrests. It doesn't have the large headrests found on 2011 models.

 You can tell it's a prop car since it has black C-pillars, LAPD cars have white ones.
