Could be. Too bad we don't have a rear view. |

At first I thought Boyertown, but I later had my doubts. Now I think this is a DurAvan Wholesaler /vehicle_51837-DurAvan-Wholesaler.html |

The rear wheel well does not match the Wholesaler. |

Maybe its just a different year? the curve of the front end looks right, the windows look right, headlight position looks right, grill bars look right (even though there are to many of them). |

It matches this /vehicle_296548.html it also matches this /vehicle_254874.html It also matches this, which is reffered to as ''1954 Chevrolet Step Van'' http://www.dansgarage.net/cars4sale/54%20chevvan.jpg but, however, I think only the chassis of the one in my link are by Chevrolet, the body is probably by some custom body manufacture (like Boyertown, Grumman Olson, DurAvan, Southern Coach, of something else). |

Grille bar pattern is like standard Dodge step van of the early 50s. |

It's van built on Chevrolet chassis by American Body Company from Lynnwood. http://www.selectric.org/55van/index.html 1955: According to the owner of the van showed below - they were bread trucks, made in only 148 pcs (but I don't know - at all or only in 1957, or even only as bread trucks). Link to "www.ebay.com" 1957: But obviously were build also as milk trucks... Link to "americanclassicscars.com" Then probably can be listed as American Body Company Step Van. |
