Century, not Crown Century. /vehicle_228715-Toyota-Century-GZG50-1997.html |

I saw a Century with an S-prefix plate today. There can't be many in the UK, so I wonder if it was one of the cars used in this series. I suspect that the cliff scene was filmed in the UK, because of the extensive visual effects. (I saw a headlamp poking out behind another car and instantly recognised it as a Century, before telling myself that it had to be something else. It turned out to be a Century.) -- Last edit: 2023-02-04 17:04:55 |

UK cliff-top car park would be saturated with barriers, fences, safety warning signs, bollards, and lifebelts on poles. Not to mention picnic tables, litter bins, a put-£1-in-the-slot telescope, pay-and-display machines and notices, and all the spaces would be neatly marked out with lanes and direction arrows. ![]() |

It's not a real cliff. |

^^ Not to mention somebody selling the Big Issue, an abandoned soft ice-cream van and an old bloke with two Schnauzers. |

Similar story here too. It'd have a wooden fence with safety warning signs on it. Not that they'd build a vista point without a sign showing what other tourist traps are therein the 50km radius... and yes, markings too... ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-02-09 07:14:25 |
