 Film date means a very early one. Chrome mirrors and windscreen surround so GL (which was top of the tree at start??) and maybe 1308?? Are white indicators significant?

 The most basic in 1976 was the 1307 GLS.
In the middle you had the 1307 S
At the top the 1308 GT.

All of those had the Chrysler script at the front and the Simca at the rear if I recall

The plate is also from late 1975 (the launch date in France was in October of that year, according to my copy of the Revue Technique Automobile).

I'd love to know. Most of the time, they were white, including on my parents' 1307 S.

 It is 1307 S by the windshild trim - all silver in S and (1308) GT and partly black in 1307 GLS.

Every French Simca of this type had "Chrysler" badge and lettering at the front (last one replaced by "Talbot" during the 1979). On French market they weren't too consistent when it came to brand of this model. Sometimes in adverts it was "Chrylser-Simca", but often simply "Simca".

The indicators were generally white, IMO they were orange/amber only in countries where such color was required by local regulations.
