Nevertheless, by what is possible to understand of the rear badges ( specially the 3.0 on the right of the bootlid ) I would say it's a 1975+ ( launched late 1974 ) 240 D 3.0. This version was powered by the 5-cylinder engine later also seen in the 300 D [W123].
