At the 1966 Daytona 24 Hours, the No. 99 was a Ford Mustang GT350, driven by American racing driver, Roger West and his co-driver, Richard Macon for the Joe Treadwell Racing Team. In reality, No. 99 failed to complete the race with engine problems with 168 laps completed. -- Last edit: 2021-12-04 15:41:21 |

I bought that mustang and it was burnt. No cgi. Put it all on my fastback, but most of the metal was warped from the heat. ![]() -- Last edit: 2022-10-22 22:35:35 (dsl) |

I see their pattern, similar thing with the no.29 Ferrari 275 that in reality finished 8th but in the movie did multiple pirouettes in the air ![]() But in that case they couldn't scrap a real one. |

I guess the producers needed to sprinkle in some action, so some creative liberty's were taken |
