Was sent as Ford Crown Victoria, but it is maybe more a Lincoln Town Car? Or is it too generic? |

Well the rear lights are a bit like a CV yes, more than a Town Car, but it actually looks too generic. |

That was my first thought. |

I think it looks too generic. |

Mitsubishe Mirage? |

I concur - too generic |

Though that I agree that it may be a C-Klasse (W202) more than the other ones |

Too narrow, and the C-Klasse wasn't overly popular in Japan. Many Japanese sedans had similar rear lights. |

This is supposed to be America. Or a fantasy of it. Chiyo (the kid on the backseat) is going to study in United States after graduating from the high school. One of the other girls, Osaka (the girl with a weird imagination) says that he will be immediately kidnapped, because Chiyo's parents are rich. And this is the imaginatory picture of that kidnapping. |

Kidnappings in America are performed by Lincoln Town Cars, that's a widely known fact. But given the nature of fantasies in this series, I guess she may have fantasized about a wrong Panther... More seriously - I believe it is a generic black kidnapper car. |
◊ 2007-10-19 17:55 |
Is this really true? and if it is, why do they use these specific ones? |
◊ 2007-10-19 17:57 |
I am poking fun at movie cliches - the Town Car seems to be used for kidnapping more than anything else ![]() |
◊ 2007-10-19 18:07 |
Aaaah ok ok you meant in movies ok, i thought you meant in real life ![]() |
◊ 2007-10-19 18:10 |
For sure, it is regulated by the Federal Kidnapping Act ![]() |
◊ 2007-10-20 22:37 |
I thought the kidnappers only use black Chevy Van 20s and (more recently) Dodge Vans? ![]() |
◊ 2007-10-20 22:54 |
You surely watch the wrong kinds of movies ![]() |
